It’s shocking the above clip has not gone viral. After all, it combines three of the Internet’s favorite memes: cats, ’80s footage, and The Golden Girls. In other words, it’s a cat video starring Rue McClanahan. If you haven’t already fainted in anticipation, I can assure you that it’s just as bizarre as you can imagine, particularly when Rue steps into a room swarming with hyper kitties.

I was going to ask if Rue was wearing pajamas in that first shot. Then I realized that people don’t normally put shoulder pads in pajamas.

As someone who volunteers at a no kill cat shelter, that woman from Animal Control is wrong when she says that these animals are better off destroyed. Sometimes it takes years to get an older cat adopted but these places give it a week. Shame on them. Sorry, getting off my soap box now.
