It’s been all of about forty-eight hours since we last saw a Real Housewife attempt to scale the Billboard charts with a pop performance, and we already have a rival. Enter Countess LuAnn, who has finally released a follow-up video to her much-lauded debut single, “Money Can’t Buy You Class.”

The song in question is “Chic C’est La Vie,” which like its predecessor is also a spoken word, soon-to-be gay club classic featuring The Countess delivering haughty proclamations in her gravelly voice. This time around, she takes great joy in pronounce “elegance” as “eleGAAAAANCE,” and to spice things up, she recruits fellow Real Housewives of New York City stars Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon to join her on screen. It’s not as much of a mess as you’d think, and the musical arrangement isn’t awful… I just wish a true vocalist were on hand to elevate “Chic C’est La Vie” to the level of, I don’t know, a real song. Enjoy.

  1. Ummmmmm, I’m stunned. I can see this becoming an instant staple in drag queen talent shows. I mean, seriously?

  2. I wish I could be one of them. They are so fabulous and perfect. And I have the perfect name for my own logo.

  3. Jill has some awkward dance movements.

And LuAnn is unrecognizable with the dark eye makeup.

  4. I just love how Jill is looking at Luann in the limo half laughing, half staring in amazement at what is unfolding in front of her eyes.

  5. FUN! But it’s no Money Can’t Buy You Class (there’s a sentence I never thought I’d utter in my life, ever..)

Poor Jill looks half amazed, half mortified throughout the whole thing. That being said, The Countess just looks like she’s having so much fun that you can’t but too. Plus, you always know it’s going to be a good day when you wake up to a new Luann video!

  6. Where do I find one of those Eternal Sunshine guys to remove this memory from my brain?

  7. How did she get Simon Pegg to play the DJ?

Seriously though, while Kelly did fine I think Jill just embarrassed herself.

The Courtesy-titled Countess thinks way too much of herself to be embarrassed by anything she chooses to do so you go girl!
