Jill Zarin — or whomever styled her — made a major fashion faux-pas at the Real Housewives of New York City reunion. No, I’m not talking about the hideous teal color of her shoes (although, that’s pretty bad too). Instead, I’ll let reader Emma explain. She sent me the above screencap with the following question:

“What is up with the sticker on the bottom of her Loubs??? Def. stylist fail.”

BUSTED!

Emma then went on to theorize “I think she left the sticker on so she can return it at Saks. ZING!”

Could it be? I guess we’ll never know…

  1. the way the spot follows the shape of the shoe would make me think they are simply well worn shoes.

    as opposed to newbies.

and thats the wear of the footpad.

    1. great thinking! I still would like to think of it as a T J Maxx tag….. maybe from the clearance section.

      1. I think woohile is right. When you buy Louboutins at Saks (as if that’s something I’ll ever be able to do), there is not a price sticker on the bottom. Only TJMaxx, etc., adulterate high end products with price stickers.

  2. I totally noticed the sticker also!!! I was thinking that she forgot to take the T J Maxx tag off!

    1. No that is the normal footwear of CL’s, not a sticker! You will never find CL’s in TJ Maxx. Wishful thinking

  3. I noticed and couldn’t decide if they were just worn there — never have owned a pair of Loubs but imagine that the first time out of the box this happens. Would be really disappointing! Or, if she bought at a discount store and couldn’t get all the sticker bits off. Either way, seems like kind a blunder for Jill, as I would think she would purchased brand new shoes at full-price and pulled them right out of the box for the reunion!

I would probably sell my soul for Betthany’s shoes, however! Gorgeous!!

  4. probably was a sale item, when bought full price, there usually aren’t stickers on the bottom like that. may have gotten off the sale rack and then asked the shoe salesman, or bawby, to get her the mate.

  5. If you look at the second to last picture in the reunion photocap, there seems to be the same thing on the other shoe too – could they be some kind of grip sticker to keep her from falling?

  6. I own Loubs and that spot peels almost immediately after they hit the ground. =(

Unfortunately because they red soles are hand-painted, it’s an unavoidable result. But still heart-breaking!

  7. UM….You obviously don’t own a pair of Loubs because if you did you would know that the red paint peels off in that spot when you wear them once. It is not a sale sticker. And ps even if it was a sale sticker who cares? I am sure you wouldn’t even be able to afford sale Loubs lol.

      1. The shoes match her gorgeous bangle. And no, I am no one’s fan (except maybe Sonja’s), but that happens to be one of my favorite colors. So, you are NOT alone.

  8. plus these look like winter ’10 greissimo louboutin’s which means jill is TOTALLY wearing them in the wrong season.

    i’m embarassed FOR her!

  9. Holy crap, I keet yelling at the TV because of that stupid stciker. It was so declasse!

  10. I actually like the shoes too. Yes I will third the notion that the red paint peels off quite quickly. I have first hand experience because I wore my one any only pair of Louboutins partying and running around in Vegas.

  11. I think the shoes are a cool, funky color and go well with a black dress. And if she did buy them on sale or discount store, who cares? I guess it’s not typical for materialistic Jill. I’m not a fan of Jill, but why are people bashing her for her preference in shoes.

  12. I don’t care for the shoe color–but Loubs are fabulous.

I’ve never seen TJ Maxx carry Loubs–not that it coudn’t happen. They carry Coach and some other mid-price designer clothes/shoes–but you never see Loubs, Vuitton, Gucci–or the high end designers in a store like TJ MAXX (not that I don’t shop there–I’ll easily wear a 50.00 sweater with a 1,000 handbag).

It’s all in how you put it together. Personally, I think RED shoes would have worked that outfit like a visa card! That’s how I’d have rocked it.

  13. I LOVE THE COLOR of the shoes… who cares whats on the bottom of her shoe??….i mean i am sure all of yall shoe bottoms are perfect??

anyways,, if anyone can tell me where the braclets come from you would make my day…. i am in love with the green yellow and blue one..

  14. She’s worn those shoes before during some press for her book, there were pictures around that I’m too lazy to find. So it makes sense they would be worn and not still have a sticker on them after multiple wear.

      1. Jill’s large moonstone and tanzonite swarvoski crystal bracelet is from the designer Rodrigo Otazu. I actually bought that bracelet 2 years ago when he came to my city to showcase some of his collections. Its now in the sex and the city 2 movie and this designer is blowing up. LOVE HIM!! As far as the other bangles, I am not sure where they came from.

  16. Liz is an idiot because she clearly has no class or any form of editing skills to read her own post to the point i cannot even entertain it. I own Louboutins and if someone does or does not, who cares? WTF? take your blue light special and get on a show and represent yours sweetheart!
