This video made its way to YouTube back in 2008, but it’s still worth a look if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s color footage of I Love Lucy shot by a member of the audience just under fifty years ago in 1951 and remains the only “behind the scenes” material of the show. Prettttttttttty cool.
Also, Lucille Ball was born 100 years ago this past Saturday. So there’s that.

It thrills me that you are into ILL. I have all of the ones where she interacts with real stars, which, I find the funniest. William Holden, Richard Widmark and Harpo Marx are three of my favs. Also, the one with Orson Wells. Just brilliant. Kudos to you, B-side, young soul that you are, for paying homage to one of the funniest comediennes ever!
