72% of white cats are deaf. Nearly 100% of white cats with blue eyes are deaf. Yes, I know I’m a dork for knowing that.
Tofer: When I lived in Turkey I got a Turkey Van cat. (and brought her back to the U.S.) She was pure white with one blue and and one yellow eye. Where does she fit into those statistics. She wasn’t deaf. 🙂
She was probably deaf in the the ear the blue eye was on. She could hear out of the ear with the yellow eye.
Mika’s owner could benefit from a visit to the Japanese equivalent of The Container Store.
