I think it’s safe to say that I am not a particularly strong or flexible person, which is why yoga may not be a perfect fit for me (check out my first time here). Nevertheless, that didn’t stop my friend Meeshie from trying to teach me a move called “Crow.” She videotaped my pitiful attempt, which had me hoisting my derriere into the air repeatedly to no good effect. Not a stellar moment for me, but perhaps entertaining for you.

Well, that was awkward. 🙂
just another friday night in weho!
I’m sorry, this is funny and all, but you have GOT to get rid of that “gruesome footage of slaughterhouses” advertisement that pops up on the side all the time, or else I’m about ready to quit this blog. I come here for yoga and domesticity, not DEATH and INTESTINES.
This will be its last month.
I’ve gotten several complaints about the ad. It expires at the end of the month, and I will not renew it.
Eh, I’m only partly serious. I also get a bit of a secret thrill from animal torture. Just call me the new noonen, I guess!
I’m glad I have Adblock on Firefox and therefor no idea what you are talking about!!
Same here Katy. I get so upset using other’s computer for something – I just want to download AdBlockPlus and NoScript for them.
I love how encouraging Meeshie is being. Is Meeshie is the one that is in the cat meowing video? You actually captured the true spirit of yoga by having fun with what you were doing. A friend of mine who live in India- said that only Americans take yoga so seriously. He said when he goes to a yoga class in India- people kind of goof off and laugh and have fun. Of course, this is a huge generalization.
The crow was one of my favorite positions in yoga because it is one of the few poses that I could actually do- although it took a lot of work to get there. The next step of that pose is to throw your legs out, in a controlled manner, behind you while supporting yourself with your arms. I could not do that part of the pose. And there is another version called the side crow were you support one side of your body with the crow pose and then you extend your legs off to the side. No matter which way you do it- the crow pose can be very difficult.
For me, the best part is that you guys were watching Wozniacki dismantle Sharapova. You should perhaps add a bit of tennis to your blog. 🙂
I think it’s pretty clear I’m no yoga teacher. You did great!
I thought you were a power bottom?
